Michigan Science Olympiad is a volunteer-run organization. We greatly appreciate and depend on your support. We have virtual and in-person opportunities.
2026 - 2027 Volunteer Interest Survey
If you would like to be contacted for volunteer opportunities this year, please fill out our annual Volunteer Interest survey.
Whether you are a new volunteer who just wants to find a way to help, or a seasoned Event Supervisor, this survey is for you!
Your survey will be shared with Science Olympiad coordinators so they can reach out with roles that fit your interests. You may also indicate whether you would like to join the MSO Volunteer Network email list to get updates on volunteer needs throughout the year.
Volunteer Meetings
Michigan Science Olympiad holds volunteer meetings throughout the year. New volunteers and Event Supervisors are always welcome to join and ask questions. Check the MSO Volunteer Network group calendar for upcoming events.
For the 2026 - 2027 season we will hold meetings on the following dates. Each meeting has a main topic planned, but there is also plenty of time for open conversation and any questions you have. Just click this Google Meet link to join: meet.google.com/fjf-nbzw-guv

Find a Tournament
Tournaments around the state can use your help!
In the winter and spring, tournaments will post general volunteer opportunities for sign up. Help may be needed to set up labs, grade exams, or time device runs . Visit our VolunteerLocal site to see what opportunities are open.
If you would like to volunteer at a specific tournament, or be more involved in a role such as an Event Supervisor or exam writer, you may also contact the tournament organizer directly. You can find tournament contact information at the links below:
